In this clip Sukant Chandan (Malcolm X Movement), Arzu Merali (IHRC and MXM), Carlos Martinez (Invent the Future), Suzella Palmer (MXM) and Akala (Illastate and MXM) make their contributions with sister Zaynab Mahmud chairing. This took place on Sat June 14 2014 at The Flyover in Ladbroke Grove/Notting Hill in West London, the budding Malcolm X Movement held its first public event ‘STRIKE THE EMPIRE BACK: legacies and examples of liberation from neo-colonialism and white supremacy’.

An afternoon of culturally and politically challenging and inspiring music, art, presentations, panel discussions around the legacies of successful liberation struggles against colonialism, neo-colonialism and white supremacy, the ideologues and ideologies of those struggles and their attempts to forge a global unity of struggle, and how these attempts can inform our liberation struggles today Special guest: Aamer Rahman (Fear of a Brown Planet)
