IHRC opened a bookshop after 14 years in existence in January 2011 to help raise funds for those projects deemed charitable under UK charities law. I was privileged to be the host of that event speaking with journalist and Brussels based author David Cronin about his book Europe’s Alliance with Israel.
From the IHRC website: Popular opinion tends to think of Europe as being one of the main critics of Israeli acts against the Palestinians, yet Cronin’s meticulous account in his book, which he overviewed in his presentation, is that the reality is actually starkly different. Highlighting security, economic and cultural co-operation in an exhaustive discussion of the topic, Cronin provides incontrovertible evidence that the European Union is complicit in occupation and human rights abuses on a grand scale as perpetrated by Israeli forces and their government.
